Second Wax Bust

Not entirely cleaned up or finished but I am fairly happy with the results.

I purchased some Castilene today. I haven't really worked with wax before but I think I will start using it more often. Here is the results.

Avatar Bust

Here is a bust of the character Neytiri from the movie Avatar (2009). The original sculpture was created in Super Sculpey Firm and then cast in plastic. The casting shown here is painted with an airbrush along with minor hand painted details.

More Old Work

Painted version of prior sculpt 'Mope' and a different sculpt made out of the same material and also airbrushed. Also a sculpt deemed 'Caveman' made of Super Sculpey Firm, is airbrushed and has synthetic hair glued on.

Robot Sculpt

Here is one of favorite sculptures, unofficially deemed the 'Scrap Metal Robot'. This sculpture has been duplicated through the use of a silicone mold approx. 15 times in plastic. In the group picture the original piece is the second to last one on the right.

Good and Evil

These two guys are characters from the game Black and White 2. They are the good and evil consciences who guide you throughout the game. I thought they were pretty cool so I sculpted them both out of Super Sculpey Firm and airbrushed them for coloration. They are both approx. 2.5 inches tall.

Some Old Work

Here are some pictures of some of the sculptures I've made in the past few years. The first sculpt (very top) is your standard alien bust created from Super Sculpey Firm and airbrushed for coloration. Second sculpt is a kind of goblin / elf type creature that I call 'Mope', he's made from Super Sculpey. The third sculpt is made from Stonex Clay (water based) and airbrushed. The final sculpt is made out of Stonex as well.

New To Blogging

Hello Everyone, I finally got around to creating a blog so that my artwork can be easily accessed for your viewing pleasure and convenience. Hopefully I can figure out how to use it.
